Latex Wounds (Industrial Accident)

So I posted this photo on Instagram as the start of my 100 days of make up challenge, I want to stretch my abilities as far as make up goes, including getting back in to SFX make up, so I thought I'd start with that.

This entire look was made from liquid latex and ripped up cotton wool pads, the most simple and effective technique to create realistic looking wounds.

I didn't really have an idea of what I was trying to create when starting this look, but I really liked how it turned out, and I definitely feel like it's some kind of industrial accident kind of wound, like something in a factory ran over the right side of my face... Ermmmmmmmmmm, yeah let's go with that.

Lemme give you the low down on how I created this look in 4 easy steps!

1. Map out where you want your wound to be on your face and start layering down layers of liquid latex in the perimeter, you want to wait for each layer to dry before placing the next one down. I did this about 3 times to start creating some skin texture.

2. After the first layers are dry, place down a further layer but on top of this one start placing ripped up cotton wool pads in varied shapes and sizes over the wound marking, cover this in latex until it's fully saturated. When this is still malleable start lifting portions and poking around the cotton to give your skin some raised textures and bulbous areas.

3. When this is completely dry you can start painting, I made myself a grey foundation by using my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation and scraping some of the black shadow from one of my Make Up Revolution Palettes in to the foundation and BOOM, you have made yourself grey foundation. Cover the whole wound in your grey concoction and make sure to get in to the small details created by the cotton and latex.

4. To finish, create more depth with a black shadow and a small angled brush in the deepest parts of the wound, this will give the look much more dimension. Make sure to darken your eye the most, and especially make sure the water line is blackened, and without this the look will be too broken up. I also added more of my foundation to the grey concoction and used this lighter grey to highlight the higher points of the wound.

And you are now a scary accident victim, go scare people with your mangled face!

And obviously some bronzing along with my contour and highlight, and I've recently been trialling a new bronzer and highlighter combo, so I'll be sharing my thoughts on those products soon.
So I hope you like this look and here is a run down of all the products used to create this make up look.

MAC Select Cover Up Concealer

I just wanted to talk about this concealer here! I barely hear anyone talk about this one on beauty blogs or within the YouTube beauty community, and I don't know why?!

Now I was a big fan of MACs Pro Longwear concealer, as was everyone else and their mother, but it was TOO drying on the baby skin underneath my eyes, so I had to switch it up. I fell in love with the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless concealer, but it's a pain to get a hold of, and I cannot be ordering from America every time I run out of it. So I wanted to find a MAC alternative, and I actually heard about this on the lovely Lucy and Lydia's YouTube channel and they raved about it, and it's that thicker consistency that I enjoy, not quite as gel like as the Tarte one, but it's a great more convenient alternative for me in the UK. Paired with the collection lasting perfection it really helps to cover up my dark circles, and as long as it's set with powder immediately, it doesn't crease up either!

Have you guys tried this underrated MAC concealer? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Boho at Primark

Terracotta Boho Tassle Shirt (£11)

White Stretch Shoulder Tee (£5), Burgundy Paisley Print Tie Shorts (£4)

So you guys.. If you haven't noticed.. The bohemian trend is BACK! HEY 1970s HIPPIE VIBE! And I am loving it, these are my first purchases of the trend that is sweeping Primark, and I plan to buy a PLETHORA of other items too.

Obviously Primark is cheap as chips, and I've seen such similar items in New Look/River Island for triple/quadruple the price! So I was so happy finding these lovely buys!

I hope you liked the looks guys, and please keep checking back for more posts.

KIKO/Primark Purchases

Good day my babes! So I went to Westfield Shopping Centre and picked myself up a few bits, from KIKO and then some bits from Primark. So I thought I'd share my buys with you lot!

KIKO INFINITY EYESHADOWS/[CLICS] SYSTEM PALETTE
So I recently realised how limited my eyeshadow collection is *sad face* and I saw that KIKO did their own palette system, as I definitely cannot be affording MAC shadows right meow *second sad face* unfortunately being an out of work actor is not as lucrative as it sounds. And I find this system a lot better as the shadows that KIKO single shadows are quite literally twice the size of the MAC ones, and at a mere cost of - wait for it - £2.80! They were on sale and the colours are just stunning, so I couldn't resist them at all. I picked up the colours (l-r) 272 Pearly White, 236 Pearly Champagne, 262 Mat Green, 259 Golden Green, 281 Satin Light Blue Demin, 234 Pearly Wine, and I am obsessed with this already! So happy with the price I paid and also because I purchased 6 shadows the 24 space palette was FREE! Yes kids, completely free, I was too happy. I'll have such fun filling this baby up, and I can already tell I'll probably gain a few more of these palettes in the coming months, now I've discovered the beauties. They all look so pigmented and the shimmery shadows are so stunning, I'll definitely share my thoughts on the quality of these shadows.

KIKO MAT BASE CORRECTOR PRIMER
I'm always on the hunt for the perfect primer and since trying the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow recently, I've fallen in love with that, but alas, the purse strings will not allow for it, so I picked up this one as the sale was good to me in KIKO, so I'm sure I'll be letting you know my thoughts on this product also!

PRIMARK ARGAN FACIAL CLEANSING WIPES
I go through make up wipes like toilet paper, so this was just a boring old necessity purchase,. Moving along..

PRIMARK EGG MAKE UP SPONGE
Since falling in love with my beloved Real Techniques sponge I realised that I gain the best foundation application through sponges, so I picked this one up, and at only £1.50, how could I not? And upon opening it I realised it feels nearly identical to the Real Techniques one, I was definitely expecting it to be slightly more abrasive, but it really isn't! So I'll be letting you know how application goes with this.

PRIMARK FOUNDATION BLENDING SPONGE
Along the same lines, this one will be a little bit more useful for blending foundation/concealer under my eyes, a much thinner sponge tip for those harder to reach areas.

So that's everything loves! Hope you enjoyed reading and are enjoying the most glorious summer in years!

June Favourites

Hey loves, so to ease back in I thought I would share my favourites for the past month. A few of these are also from April/May, but I've not really accumulated too many new things so it's a small favourites this month, but some beautiful bits!

MAC False Lashes Extreme Black
Now, I'm sure you guys all got your hands on this free sample, and I just wanted to share how much I am enjoying this mascara! It's got great separating power as well as some killer volume. I'll definitely be purchasing the full product as I am so happy with this mascara, it's definitely replaced my Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless as it just adds so much more separation to my lashes, loving it!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I've always loved this concealer, but even more so recently. I've been tanning recently so I've switched to the shade Cool Medium, and it's made SUCH a huge difference to my dark circles, which I am thrilled about as they are a big downer for me! And as always, full coverage and long lasting.

Ben Nye Luxury Powder
I'm so happy I picked up this powder, it's been amazing for setting my under eye concealer, and also helping to colour correct especially with my skin being a few shades darker than usual. It really sets everything in to place and I cannot rate this higher.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation
I've been loving this foundation since way back in May! My mumma and papa went to America and I asked them to pick me up a few things from Sephora and this was one of my wishes! And I was not disappointed, it's such full coverage and really stays in place all day, and at the moments it's replaced my MAC studio fix, which is really saying something! I've been using it every single day since then and I'm no where near running low, so this is a really long lasting product!

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
Can we just talk about this product, it's the weirdest consistency! It's like a thick sticky gel, but I think that's the reason it never, and I mean NEVER, creases, which is amazing for me as I always have that problem with concealers. It's also great coverage for blemishes and any other discolouration. So happy with this, but it's definitely on its way out so, sad times!

Skincare Favourites

Hi loves, now, before getting very much in to make up I was never a skincare person, like at all, I would never moisturise before make up and never really take care of my skin at all (and I wondered why I suffered with spots and dry skin! Ahh the folly of youth). Anyway, since getting in to beauty bloggers/YouTubers and then starting my own blog, it has very much become a love of mine. So I thought I would talk you through some of my favourites at the moment.

Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water
Before I became obsessed I was very much a make up wipe girl (The horror I know?! Chastise me as you will) and I wondered why I would wake up with panda eyes and make up all over my pristine white sheets. And since becoming more switched on to skincare I have been loving Micellar water for removing make up, I loved the Garnier one for how quick it got all my pounds of make up off, but I have sensitive skin and it tended to irritate my skin slightly, so recently I picked up the Simple one. I used to love Simple products when I was younger, this was the brand my mother used so she would always just pick me up their make up removers, and since becoming reacquainted I have definitely rekindled my love. It just gets make up off so effortlessly, and I never had red patches of irritation when scrubbing my waterproof mascara off, so this one is definitely a winner in my book.

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean 3 in 1 Wash Off Cleanser
Another cleanser! This is great for me in the mornings, just in case any make up got left behind in my rush to hop in to bed, and it provides a nice base before moisturiser, as you apply it then wipe it away with a cotton pad. It really leaves my skin so soft, and provides a smooth surface for the rest of my skincare and make up routine.

Simple Kind To Skin Protecting Moisture Cream
I have been loving this before make up ever since picking it up, it's not oily or anything and it sinks in so quick before applying the rest of my make up. As the foundation I use sets quite stiff, it can look cakey without a good moisturised base, and this does the job perfectly, and again as its Simple, it's nourishing and kind to my oh so sensitive skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream
Another thing I was never a user of, as I thought it was for older women, WRONG KIDS! Start as you mean to go on to retain youthful skin. Obviously I'm 20 so I'm not sagging quite yet, even with the stresses of drama school, but this definitely helps to retain elasticity, and as I have suffered with awfully dry skin I know that my skin can be prone to patches of dryness, but with this soaking in my skin overnight I definitely don't have that problem, and have never encountered it again since using night cream, so I'm so glad I made the discovery.

Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Super Serum
Casually my mother gave me a LOAD of Soap & Glory products she had just lying around (winner) and these little samples of the youthful serum were a part of that little collection (along with two body butters, the cleanser, foot scrub, hand cream and exfoliating wash, love you mother, babe) and I only got a 3 day sample but my god I have to pick this up. Not only did my face feel amazing but it also helped keep my make up on a lot longer, with rehearsals racking up at the moment my make up has definitely been slipping and sliding (ew!) but I could not believe how much this helped?! I'm so glad I got to try it, and will definitely be picking up a full bottle for myself, it smells a bit strong but you definitely get used to it and it's not overly potent. Such a winner!

So those are my skincare favourites at the moment, my lovelies, please check back for more posts and let me know your favourite skincare products in the comments below.

Spring Pinks

Hi beauties! Now as Spring quickly approaches I thought I'd do another season themed look for you, this look contains a lot of pinky colours to adhere to the flowers that bloom in Spring! Well that was my thinking on the matter... Anyway...

1) So, first of all I did my normal base of L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer and then my MAC Studio Fix Fluid and the Pro Longwear Concealer, and set that with my Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifying Powder. I also added a little bit of my Maybelline Bronzer Blush Duo I used the bronzer to contour slightly, and then a bit more blush than usual on the apples of my cheeks. I wanted a nice highlight for this look so I took the Bourjois Java Rice Powder just above where we put that blush, down the centre of the nose, forehead and cupids bow. And my brows, as always, with my L'Oreal Brow Artist Genius Palette.

2) Next I took my favourite palette ever, which I feature all too much on this blog, which is the Make Up Revolution "Run Boy Run" Palette (see the colours in this post). I put down a base, as I always do, of MACs Painterley Paint Pot, I then took the colour Trying To Catch You all over the lid, and this is basically a shimmery nothing colour, just to start out the blending process. Then I took Girl On Fire throughout the crease right to the inner corner, and this is going to work as the transitional colour for the look. I took the colour Dying To Stop You on the outer third of the lid, I packed this on a fair bit as these shimmery colours are slightly less pigmented than the matte shades and need to be built up a little bit. I then took You Are Finally Mine through the outer portion of the crease to just intensify it a little bit. And I finished my eyes off, as I always do, with my Seventeen High Drama Liquid Liner, and for mascara I took Bourjois Volume Max Holidays and Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless together to create volume as well as separation.

3) Finally I took my most recent MAC purchase which is the stunning Amplified Creme Lipstick in Craving. This is an amplified formula so the colour is really pigmented as well as being nice and creamy on the lips, but it lasts just as well as their Satin/Matte finishes without drying out the lips at all.
And there's the finished look, I love when seasons change as it gives us all a reason to change up our make up, and I always enjoy trying new things and we get to introduce new colours in to our looks! (yay)

I hope you enjoyed reading and please please please keep checking back for more posts.

MAC Treats

Hey my lovelies, I thought I'd share with you a couple of treats I picked up from MAC recently, I do love student loan day, but as this is the last one I'll ever receive I thought I would splash out on some lovely bits!

Amplified Creme Lipstick in Craving
I've only got Satin finish lipsticks, so I thought I'd try a new finish for once! This is the most stunning colour, it's a lovely colour for Spring Summer and it's also got great staying power, and the pigmentation is gorgeous! I can see this turning in to a fast favourite.

Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Vintage Selection
This paint pot is a stunning pinky peach toned shimmer colour, and I absolutely love it! It'll look so pretty as a base or as a wash over the lid in the warmer weather, really excited to get using this one and I've already got some looks planned out where this will look stunning!

So there's not loads to go through, but I know that I love checking out people's MAC purchases so I thought I'd share mine. I hope you enjoyed reading and please check back for more posts.

BOOTS HAUL

Hello lovers! Now, as you all probably know, Boots are doing a wonderful 3 for 2 triple points events! This applies to nearly all of their make up brands, as well as some of their skincare range. So I thought I'd share my purchases with you lovely lot, and I've seen a few other bloggers sharing their buys from this event, so let's all share and be Boots friends!

Bourjois Products
Now, as you can gather from previous posts, Bourjois is definitely my favourite drugstore brand, so I definitely took advantage of their products in this offer. I picked up the beauty of a highlighter I had been wanting for ages which is the gorgeous Bourjois Java Rice Powder, a wonderful pink toned shimmery highlighter, as I have cool tones in my skin this really suits me and my pale complexion, although I would not recommend it for you especially tanned folk, but I love this product, I've used it a few times since purchasing and it really helps to brighten up my face. Then I picked up two lippys from their Aqua Laque range, which is a glossy liquid lipstick, now I own nearly all of their Rouge Edition Velvets and am in love, so I thought I'd try these out, I picked up the colours Rosè On The Rocks and Viens Si Tu Rose, I have never been a gloss girl but as it approaches spring/summer I want to try out new beauty trends, I have only used the lighter of the two colours which is Rosè On The Rocks, and I can say it is stunning, a lovely muted pastel with a stunning shimmer, and for a gloss it really stays put for a lot longer than I anticipated, so I hope good things for the other colour I purchased as well as the rest of the range.

Rimmel Products
I'm also very much a Rimmel girl, they have wonderful products and they never let me down. I was in need of a new primer, and I'm the kind of person who likes to switch up my primers, I haven't found my holy grail yet so I keep on the hunt, and I picked up their Fix and Pro Primer, I haven't used it yet but I'll be sure to share my thoughts when I've used up my L'Oreal Infallible Base. I also picked up two more of the wonderful Kate Moss range of lipsticks, the stunning nude which is shade 03, and an amazing deep purple in shade 30. I've heard wonderful things about the nude and I've tried it once and I absolutely love it so I'm so glad I picked this one up, and I have such a love for deep purples so I'm sure I'll love that one all the same.

Skincare Products
In a great turn of luck all my skincare products seemed to run out at the same time, so it was time to pick up a new moisturiser, cleanser and night cream. And luckily their 3 for 2 offer extended to simple skincare, I used to use simple all the time for my skin was ever so sensitive when I was younger, and I thought it wouldn't do any harm to revert back to it. I picked up the Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water, Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser and the Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream. I've only just started to use these products so I don't feel like they've done the world of difference yet, but the moisturiser is definitely better on my skin and helps keep my face hydrated throughout the day. I also picked up four of my favourite face masks which are the Montagne Jeunesse face masks, not involved in the 3 for 2, just a little treat for Emily, these are always a part of my pamper evenings so I thought I'd stock up, and for £1? How can you not!

So that's everything in my Boots haul, I hope you enjoyed reading and if you picked up anything in this offer let's all share and discuss! Please check back for more posts.

March Favourites

Hi beauts! As the title may suggest I'm going to be talking you through my beauty favourites for the month of March. I haven't really accumulated anything new this month but I've definitely rediscovered a few old favourites, and since I haven't done many favourites on this blog, I thought I'd talk you through them anyway!

Kiko Precision Lip Pencil in 300
I featured this in my mini haul a few weeks back, and I can safely say it has already been well loved! It's the perfect liner for nearly all nude lipsticks, I'd say. It glides on easily and is very pigmented, there are certain looks where I want the liner to be visible, so I love this quality in the pencil. I've been using it non stop with anything from drugstore to MAC lipsticks, and it really is the perfect match! I cannot speak highly enough of this product, and will definitely have to pick up a few more shades.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in 725 Tantelizing Taupe
Oh shock, a nude lipstick. I'm serious though, nude obsession is something else at the moment! Anyway, this is a very light muted nude, and with my pale complexion, it really works. The only thing with this one is you do have to almost build it up, but the finish is lovely and you do get a lovely colour out of the product. It's very much my everyday go to at the moment, and I love it!

Bourjois Smokey Eyes Trio
This beauty was actually part of a free gift box I got with a Bourjois purchase, so I didn't really pay anything for it, and for the quality of this that is amazing! It's perfect for the staple black smokey eye, I use this primarily for my nights out where I want a deeper smoke to my shadow. The colours blend really well together and are really pigmented as well, grade A product.

Barry M Super Chic Eyeshadow Palette
This was a really old purchase actually, way back before Christmas! But I've recently rediscovered this one and I'm so glad I have! It's shades are all shimmery and are absolutely stunning, my everyday eye look is normally a glittery nude/brown smokey eye at the moment, and this palette really helps me to achieve that. The palette includes an eyeshadow primer as well, which was great when I first bought the palette, but after about 3 uses the quality really deteriorated and was basically useless, that's the only downside but I have my MAC paint pots for bases anyway, so I'm not too bothered about that, and the palette is a dream!

Bourjois Volume Max Holidays Mascara
This is another product I received in the free Bourjois gift box, and this gift box was a complete dream to be given for free. This mascara has a double domed applicator which allows it to catch all the eyelashes and really give them volume, I sometimes pair this with my Rimmel Lash Accelorator Endless when I want some separation too, mainly because I hate wearing falsies and this duo gives the illusion of false lashes, but when it's on it's own it does a great job of volumising my lashes.

Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifying Powder
This is a new purchase actually, I'm never one for bothering with face powders, quite a lot of the time I just get the cheapest option, but I picked this one up in a Maybelline 3 for 2 offer and didn't really expect it to be much better than any of my previous powders, but the way this mattifies my face is really something else! It's a perfect colour match and just keeps my face matte for the entire day, I don't even have to reapply it much at all, and that's all I can want from a face powder!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
And another rediscovery, since purchasing my MAC pro longwear concealer I've barely reached for this, but I've been wanting a more natural look recently as I'm in rehearsals 9-5 most days, I've been reaching for this one a lot more, and I've fallen back in love with it. It may not counteract my dark circles completely, but for blemishes and colour correction, it really does the job for me.

That's everything I've got for the month of March guys! Please check back for more posts from me soon.

Glam Night Out

Hi lovelies! I'm coming at you today with a tutorial for a glam night out look, I'm not one for overdoing my make up on a night out, so it's just a more colourful version of my normal look!

1) I do my normal foundation/contouring routine but I normally amp up the contour a bit, just for the glamourous factor! I then did my brows as normal with my trusty L'Oreal brow artist genius kit, which I am still absolutely loving by the way, but I knew that would be the case! I start with the eyes and for a base I obviously used my MAC Painterley paint pot, then I took another one of my wonderful rediscoveries which is the Bourjois smokey eyes trio, I used the lightest all over the lid, the second as the crease colour, and using the darkest shade further define the crease with a smaller shader brush.

2) I then took my favourite blush which is from the Maybelline bronzer blush duo so I'm not sure on the shade, but it's really subtle and I love the way it picks up my cheeks!

3) Finally I took my Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick in the shade Hot Pepper, which I have been loving on nights out recently, such a true pillar box red that really screams glamour to me!

I also want to add my favourite addition to my outfits on nights out as well, these are the Silver Glitter Stud Earrings* from the wonderful earpiercing range at Body Jewellery Shop. I'm not one for big dangly earrings, and I always have a problem with cheaply made earrings, they make my lobes really sensitive and I have to take them out from the pain, and I have actually been able to wear these constantly since I received them, which is a big plus for me as I have really missed wearing earrings. These are really beautiful and there is such a huge range to choose from, there are so many beautiful pieces on their website so do check them out here.

So that's my glam night out look for you guys, I really hope you enjoyed reading and please check back for more from me.

Werewolf Look

Hi guys, something a little different for you today! I did a post like this back around Halloween time and I really enjoyed it, so here's another character look.

I'm off to a costume party on Friday and I was also sent these beautiful yellow contacts by the lovely people at SPOOKY EYES and these are in the style Avatar (find them here), I have never worn contacts before so I was, to be honest, a bit scared of trying these but I have always loved how they looked, so I thought I'd bite the bullet and try them out. It did take me a few wears to get used to them and for my eyes to stop watering constantly, but as soon as my eyes had time to adjust they really are very comfortable, and after a whole I forgot I was wearing them! (Nearly went to sleep in them, don't do that, so dangerous!)

Anyway this is how I created this awesome Werewolf look:

1) First things first is to pop in your contacts, this way if your eyes water you won't ruin any of the look, I popped the contact on my middle finger and fed it in to the outer side of my eye, blinked a few times for it to position itself and then they were fine, I really rate these contacts, even though I really have no comparison, but a few of my friends made me aware that some character contacts were really stiff and uncomfortable, but I really didn't get that impression from these guys, they were so easy to apply and really comfortable to wear, check out their other styles at SPOOKY EYES

2) Next you need to create a flawless base to work on, it doesn't really matter about your skin colour so I just did my normal foundation routine (all products will be listed below)

3) I then started by defining the eyebrows, the big bushy brows are what really make this look so realistic, I bought the start of my eyebrows in a bit further, almost to the bridge of the nose, and then filled them in as normal, I then used a brown lipstick (cream eyeshadow or any kind of cream make up would work for this, as long as it's matte, the shimmer will not work for this look) and I used this to create extra hairs around the brow, and it should look something like this
I also went through it with a black creamy shadow to make sure they weren't just one colour, and I used hairspray on a normal old spoolie to keep these in place.

4) I then took a dark brown shadow to contour my cheek bones, under the jaw and also down the centre of my forehead in an upside down triangle shape. Then, using the same technique as we did with the eyebrows, add the extra hair detail.

5) For the eyes I wanted to keep it really simple, I started with a base of my MAC paint pot in Painterly, then I just used the same brown shade that I contoured with to sweep over the lid, then took my eyebrow kits darker brown colour to define the crease and I took this pretty much up to the brow bone, you could add mascara, and even falsies, if you wanted to sexify this look a bit too!

6) I didn't want too much on the lips either, so I took my Kiko lip pencil in the shade 300 which is a true brown, and just filled them in with that, no lippy or anything as I wanted a matte effect.

And this is the finished look, I hope you enjoyed something a little more interesting and fun today as I definitely enjoyed creating this look! As usual I'll list all the products below and please check back for more posts.

February Favourites

Hi my lovelies, so today I've got my February favourites for you, these are favourite make up products I've used throughout February, so I thought I'd give you the low down!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid
So I finally purchased this foundation which I had been lusting after for months! I'm an avid viewers of beauty YouTubers as well as the blogging community, and this was constantly raved about! I always had the issue of my foundation creasing and sliding around, basically, so I knew this would be the perfect solution to that issue! Needless to say I was not disappointed, it sticks in place all day and I never have to worry about reapplying. Honestly the best foundation I have ever used.

L'Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit
I picked up this little beauty about a month ago when L'Oreal were doing their two products for £12 deal, and as this was usually £9 I had to jump at the chance. I always used shadow to fill in my brows and it just never had the intensity I was after, so I figured a wax was the way to go. This palette includes a wax and a perfect shadow shade, so I'm able to create the shape I was with the wax and then add some darker tones with the shadow, also this palette comes with an angled brush and spoolie, as well as a mini pair of tweezers. I can say I've been overjoyed with my brows ever since using this product, and I will probably repurchase this over and over!

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot
Whilst I was perusing MAC after purchasing the Studio Fix, I was reminded how much people rave about their paint pots, so I thought I'd pick one up for myself. I chose the shade Painterly as it's a perfect skin tone match for me, I use it as a base for my shadow now, or simply to block out the veins on my eyes, and I have to say I've seen a dramatic change in the wearability of my eyeshadow, it would normally smudge and crease in to oblivion, but now there it literally no change from when I apply it at 8am to when I come home at 6:30pm, I don't know how I ever survived without this! I'll definitely be picking up some other colours soon, I cannot rave enough about this product! Perfection, A+ and all that!

MAC Lipstick in Twig
Since my obsession with lipstick started, only about 7/8 months ago, I've been pining after MAC lipsticks, their lasting power, pigmentation and quality really have no comparison. When I finally had the money to splurge I decided to go for a deep nude, a colour I have been loving also, so I went for the Satin finish lipstick Twig. It really is the perfect every day lip colour for me, and I certainly was not disappointed with the quality, it was everything I had hoped! I definitely see me harbouring a huge collection in the near future, watch out for that!

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base
I'm always switching up my primers, purely for experimental purposes, so along with my brow palette I picked up this beauty, and what a beauty it is. I've seen such an improvement in the look of my skin when just using this, it really does smooth out all imperfections and keeps my face matte all day, and I do have a problem with an oily T-Zone so this is the perfect solution for me, and even without the deal it is completely affordable if you don't want to fork out silly amounts, this will do the job very well.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
And along with the rest of my MAC haul I picked up a fabulous concealer, I have a serious problem with dark circles and these really just eradicate them completely, and nothing ever has! I'm so glad I picked this up, it was the best decision! I have the shade NW20 and this is the perfect shade to counteract those pesky circles, as well as any spots or blemishes I may have, it really is Grade A and this is another product I'll be repurchasing.

So those are my favourite products of February, I hope you enjoyed reading, please check back for more posts.

Hi guys, little late here, but here's my current look for February. I'm so busy with my course at the moment, I'm currently rehearsing to play the role of Wendla in our final production of Spring Awakening, too excited, but obviously it's a lot of work and I'm in 9 until 6 most days! So because of that my looks been pretty simple, which is also why I'm in my lounge gear in these photos! (attractive)

But anyway, here are the products I used to create my everyday February look

MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID (NW13)
MAC PRO LONGWEAR CONCEALER (NW20)

MAC Cyber

Hi loves, I thought I'd create a make up look based entirely around my recent purchase of MACs Cyber Lipstick, a beautiful vampy lipstick that definitely requires a nice smokey eye to accompany it.

Here is the step by step of how I created this look:

1) Now with my other recent purchases, I do have a new foundation routine. I start by moisturising with my Nivea Day Cream (for combination skin) and then applying my L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer all over my face. Then I took my beloved MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NW13) and applied that all over, then concealed with MACs Pro Longwear Concealer (NW20) underneath my eyes, down the bridge of my nose and over any blemishes. Then I set that all in to place with my Kiko Soft Light Powder (02). This eye look was created with my favourite palette which is the "What You Waiting For?" Palette by Makeup Revolution, find a run down of the colours included in my Smokey Red look. I use the colour Super Hot Female as a contour, underneath my cheek bones, my temples, under my jaw bone and the sides of my nose.

2) As a base for my eyes I used MACs Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterley, this blocks out my veins and any redness and allows the shadow to stay put longer. I started by defining the crease with the colour Stupid H.. which is a stunning shimmery brown, and over the rest of my lid I used the colour Tick Tock, a beautiful muted gold which created a lovely shimmered smokey eye. I then created a small cat eye flick with my trusty Seventeen High Drama Liquid Liner, and then took my favourite mascara combination which is the Bourjois Max Volume Mascara and the Rimmel Lash Accelerator, the Bourjois one created volume whilst the Rimmel one really adds length and gives great separation to the lashes.

3) My eyebrows are done with L'Oreals Brow Artist Palette, I use the wax to outline and create the shape, then the powder to fill those babies in, to set them I simply spray a spoolie with some cheap hairspray, does exactly the same job as expensive setting gels.

4) This lip look was created with my newest favourite lip liner, which is the Collection Extreme 24HR Felt Lip Liner in the colour Purple, this really is an amazing lip liner, it's a nightmare to remove but it really does have the best staying power and prevent the lipstick from bleeding. And, of course, over the top of that I used MACs Cyber lipstick, which is a Satin finish, so it's not completely Matte but it's also not too glossy.

Make Up Haul

Hello loves! Long time no see, but unfortunately I've had show week, auditions and lots of essays due so there's really been no time. But I did take a nice trip to Westfield the other day and I thought I'd share my purchases with you guys.

So I picked up some lovely bits from MAC and Kiko, the stores in Westfield are huge and the staff were so lovely and helpful, I have heard some bad things about staff rudeness in MAC specifically, and as I'd never been to a MAC store before this day, I was actually quite nervous. But they were so lovely, and as I knew what I wanted they were able to help me quickly.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NW13)

So I have been wanting this for so long, and I've just not had the money for it, I've only ever used drug store foundations, and yes they look great when first applied, but if I've got a long day ahead of me, then I pretty much know my make up is going to look like poop by the end of it. I'd heard such good things about the Studio Fix fluid, so I saved up and got this beauty for myself. I have go say I absolutely love it, it stays in place all day, I went in to Central for the whole day yesterday, there was drizzle and wind and it still looked perfect when I got home at 11, I am in love!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer (NW20)

And to go along with that I got the Pro Longwear concealer, and really my opinion on this is the same as the Studio Fix, it really does exactly what it says, it does not budge, and it really combats my dark circles, it's made me a lot more confident with those pesky dark circles!

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot (Painterley)

I have also wanted one of these for the longest time too, my eyeshadow always smudges because I have quite cheap palettes, they're beautiful colours and great to blend but their staying power really isn't great, but since using this they are setting so well, and this way I don't have to fork out on expensive palettes, this literally does all that work!

MAC Lipsticks (Cyber, Twig)

I finally picked up some MAC lipsticks of my own! I haven't tried Cyber yet, but Twig has already had some serious love, they're both Satin finishes and, well Twig at least, is beautiful, stays put and is also very moisturising on my lips, can't complain at all, and I can see my MAC lipstick obsession starting here... (Expensive obsession, boo!)

Kiko Precision Lip Pencil (300)

I also picked up this little beauty, it's the perfect nude liner, my old one is slightly too dark for true nude shades, but this is perfect, goes lovely with Twig and Kiko is so reasonably priced!

Kiko Soft Light Powder (02)

Not that I really needed this, but at least I have a spare when I run out of powder! This is lovely on my skin and really evens everything out, a trusty little powder and again, so reasonably priced.

So that was my little haul for you guys, I hope you enjoyed reading and please check back for more posts.
